One school, many languages, endless ways to connect! 🇪🇺
On 26 September, IES Cardenal López de Mendoza turned into a little Europe to celebrate the European Day of Languages!
🇩🇪 Germany challenged our memory! Students explored German through memory games, colourful vocabulary activities and a quiz.
🇬🇷 Greece took us back to the roots of language! Greek words and their connections with linguistics became the stars of a special activity.
🇬🇧 English surprised us! Students discovered curious idioms from across Europe and the fascinating stories behind everyday expressions.
🎶 Slovakia made us sing! Music crossed borders as students brought the Slovak language to life through song.
🔢 Maths took us on a European adventure! A mathematical passport transformed numbers and challenges into a journey across Europe.
🗺️ Languages revealed their family connections! We discovered Europe’s linguistic families and explored the many ways to say a simple hello.
From words to numbers, from games to music, every activity reminded us that languages are more than words: they are bridges between people and cultures.
